Group Fitness

Group Fitness at NMSU offers a wide variety of structured fitness activities to meet your personal goals. Our instructors are prepared to inspire and motivate you to change and/or continue healthy fitness-related behaviors.
AggieFit Policies:
- The displayed schedule does not reflect classes offered during any given semester breaks or interim periods.
- Class space and equipment are limited. To secure your position within the class go to urec.nmsu.edu. (Watch the U-Rec Members Portal Tutorial above). Registration for classes open 3 days prior to the class start time. Registration can also be done in-person at the front desk of the Activity Center (within the registration time frame). Class reservations cancellations can also be done through the urec.nmsu.edu web page or in-person.
- Please be courteous to instructors and other class participants – Turn all cell phones on silent and refrain from talking or texting on them while classes are in session.
- There are no classes on University holidays.

Ashtanga YogaA rigorous, fast-paced style of yoga that links specific physical poses with synchronized breathing. |
Buns & Abs BootcampHigh-energy fitness class that targets and strengthens the glutes, core and lower body. |
Group Rip60-minute, music driven, full-body barbell and free weight workout. Designed to tone and sculpt muscles without adding bulk. Utilizing high repitition with light to moderate weights. |
Morning RideIndoor cycling class designed to wake you up, build cardiovascular endurance and jumpstart your day! |
PilatesPilates is a system of exercise and movement that is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and balance. Pilates integrates breath and movement with proper body mechanics to increase greater physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels. |
SpinIndoor cycling gives you forty-five minutes of calorie-burning cardio that will increase your endurance and build your confidence. With great music and a group atmosphere, your instructor will take you through hill climbs, sprints, and flat roads. The best part is that you control everything. From your speed and resistance to your intensity level, your workout can be as easy or as challenging as you make it. Remember to bring a towel and water bottle! |
Strength SpinAn indoor cycling hybrid workout that combines high-energy with off-the-bike or bike supported light weight training. |
YogaWe offer various yoga classes with individual styles. Include, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Dynamic Flow yoga which links the breath to movement, and builds upper body & core strength while incorporating light stretching and holds. |
ZumbaDance fitness with a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness workout. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. |
Zumba ToningZumba toning helps you focus on specific muscle groups. It enhances a sense of rhythm and coordination while toning target zones including arms, core, and lower body. |
