Wilderness and Remote First Aid Course
In the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course, students learn basic first aid principles and skills to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have access to immediate emergency medical services (EMS), such as wilderness and remote environments. Emergencies also include natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes.
Registration:
- Registration will begin one month before the class date, at the NMSU Outdoor Center, room 108 of the Activity Center. Payment for course and course materials will be required at the time of registration.
- Current adult CPR/AED certification.
- Participants must be 14 years of age or older on or before the scheduled session of the course.
