First Aid/CPR/AED - Instructor Course
This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid CPR and AED courses.
Registration:
- Registration will begin one month before the class date, at the NMSU Outdoor Center, Room 108 of the Activity Center. Payment for course and course materials will be required on the first scheduled class after the successful completion of the prerequisites.
- Instructor candidates must be at least 16 years of age on or before the last scheduled day of the instructor course.
- Possesses a current basic-level certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Candidates must successfully complete the online coursework before attending classroom sessions.
- Successfully complete the pre-course skills session. Pre-course session is conducted the first day of the course.
- Attend all classroom sessions.
- Demonstrate competency in ALL skills throughout the course.
Required Materials:
- Instructor Manual can be purchased at www.redcross.org/participantmaterials or uploaded digitally. Manuals are mandatory for all courses.
